Dr. L. Suganthi, Dean, College of Engineering Guindy. She is a Professor from the Department of Management Studies, Anna University Chennai.
She completed her B.Tech. in Chemical Engineering from Alagappa College of Technology in the year 1986 and her M.B.A in Management Studies from College of Engineering
Guindy in the year 1988. She completed her Ph.D from Anna University in the year 1993.
She has over 110 papers in International Journals and 100 papers in Conferences. 17 Research Scholars have completed Ph.D. and 6 Scholars are undergoing Ph.D. and 130 MBA Project Thesis
under her guidance in areas such as Sustainable development, Information Systems, Quality Management, Organizational Behavior from Management and Data
analytics, fuzzy association, classification, clustering, thematic analysis social network analysis, AHP, DEA, TOPSIS, conjoint, DOE from Business Analytics
and finally, Energy analytics, Energy Modelling, Socio-techno-economics of energy systems from Energy Management. She has completed 13 funded research
projects under UGC, DST and AICTE. She also has interests in general areas such as Research methodologies for Management and innovative methods of thinking, and different
types and styles of teaching and learning. She has 33 years of experience in Research and 28 years of experience in Teaching.
She has been awarded the Active Researcher (Management) from Anna University Chennai in the year 2012, Best Teacher award (Information Technology
Management) from Bloomberg UTV B-School Excellence in the year 2012, She got I st Rank in MBA from Anna University Chennai in the year 1988,
Recipient of DUO-INDIA fellowship from University of Antwerp Belgium in the year 2019, CSIR Scholar - JRF and SRF scholarship from
Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) from 1989 to 1993, Commonwealth Award for Post Doctoral Fellowship in Energy Management from
University of Leeds, UK from 1999 to 2000.
She is Expert Member of NAAC accreditation of Institutions and Universities (NAAC Assessor), UGC Subject Expert Member (Management)
for evaluation of UGC research projects; STRIDE projects. Also she is University Nominee of Governing Council, Board of Studies of Autonomous Colleges,
Flying Squad of Tamilnadu Engineering Entrance Examinations and Academic Council Member of Anna University.
With the wide range of academic, research and administrative experience, her services were fully utilized by the Authorities of Anna University, Chennai and Government
of Tamil Nadu for many important assignments.
